Updated Construction Photos
Some time has gone by and we have made some progress on the house. These photos represent where we were a couple months ago. We still have to put in flooring, kitchen cabinets and appliances, and completely redo all three of our bathrooms. I’ve been looking at adding a decorative humidifier to the house. Check out Humidifall, and tell me what you think.
Photos of our new interior lights are soon to follow.

Demolition of new house
This is our new house. We started demolition immediately. We have completed several projects, but have many more to do.
Here I go again
Well, it’s not really working out for me. WordPress is great for blogging, but it doesn’t have the full functionality that I am looking for. So here I go again. I’m in the process of creating a custom app/web site. I think I’ll call it LAMPSLIGHT (Linux Apache MySQL PHP Smarty) Light. I just registered lampslight.com and .org, so this will be the website for this project.
Some of the things I want to include are:
• Blog
• Photo Album
• Links
• Guest Book
• Site Map
• RSS
I am doing this with the intention of being able to completely change the look and feel by simply changing the graphics and CSS.
I know, I know… I am reinventing the wheel here, but I have not ventured past a solution that I like. I’ve tried PHP Nuke, WordPress, and others, but they are all too “news-ish” and “advertisement-ish” for a simple personal or family web site.
Wish me luck.
